and the 2007 Florida Dizzy Dean 10 Yr. Old State Champions
Fossil Park is located in beautiful, sunny St Petersburg,
Florida...Home to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays and is St. Petersburg's
most prestigious youth baseball program. With the merger
of Florida Little Major League and Dizzy Dean Baseball of Florida in
2004, we at Fossil Park Youth Baseball are proud of our new
affiliation with Dizzy Dean Baseball. With the caliber of
athletes that Fossil Park produces, this new alliance will permit
our teams the opportunity to advance farther than ever before in
post-season tournament competition; and in keeping with our
philosophy that it is "All About the Kids", we can now offer
All-Star Teams for every age group Fossil Park is proud to announce
the addition of Girls' Softball to our league offerings which
experienced a successful inaugural season in the Spring of 2006.
Another new change for the 2006 Season was the new age determination
date. The new age cut-off date for age groupings is now April
30th. for Baseball. We
would like to welcome everyone to the all new Fossil Park Youth

RAIN OUT INFORMATION
To All
Directors,
As you know, we have had an extraordinary amount of rainouts this season. We are
doing our best to get them all re-scheduled. But we are quickly running out of
available slots. Sometimes the games are not on “normal” days that a particular
division plays, or they may fall on a day that an AAU tournament was scheduled
for. It is impossible for us to keep up with the AAU games for all of the
players that play AAU. We MUST schedule the games where they fit and where it
works for ALL involved, including the umpires. This being said, unless a Manager
had put in a request for a particular day off at the beginning of a season, the
games will have to stay where they have been re-scheduled. Keep in mind, that
each manager is allowed one(1) requested re-schedule per season, and if they
have not used theirs yet, they may still do that. This request MUST come in 7
days prior to the scheduled game. Any request after that will NOT be accepted. I
will also add that even if a Manager uses his request in time, there may not be
a slot to re-schedule the game, and it may not get re-scheduled. We may not be
able to get all of the games rescheduled, if we run out of slots.
Please be reminded of the Dizzy Dean rule below. This is not a Fossil Park
rule, this is a Dizzy Dean rule. If the league game happens, and a player misses
it to play in another game outside of the park, they could lose All-Star
eligibility.
Page 42, 11:11 Any player who misses any scheduled league game to play on a
pick-up or tournament team before league play ends, will not be eligible for
all-star play.
Also, if a Manager knows that they will not be able to field a team for a
particular game, and will need to forfeit the game, please have them contact
Tammy Campbell or Jerry Guidice, so that we can let the other teams know, as well as cancel the
umpires.
