Welcome To The Sophomore Division AT
Fossil Park Youth Baseball

The Fossil Park Sophomore Division, formerly Fossil Park's Junior Division, is also one of the elite divisions at Fossil Park Youth Baseball. The Fossil Park Sophomores are the Florida Little Major League reining state champs of 2003 and the 2004 14 yr. old State Champions and Dizzy Dean World Series Champions. The Sophomore Division promises to be a forceful league for years to come. Beginning in 2005 the Junior Division will be made up of the 15 - 16 year old age group. The Sophomore Division will include the 13 - 14 year-old age players.

FOSSIL PARK 13 & UNDER ALL-STARS HAVE SUCCESSFUL POST SEASON

The Fossil Park 13 & Under All-Stars too the District 5 Dizzy Dean Championship and advanced to the State Tournaments which was hosted here at Fossil Park. This Division hosted some great talent from around the state which included two teams from Tallahassee, Pensacola, and Jacksonville each. The All-Stars took third place but not before knocking off their old nemesis Tallahassee early in the final single elimination round. Congratulations Fossil Park for another outstanding performance from our 13 Yr. Old All-Stars.




FOSSIL PARK MAY HOST SEVERAL OF THE 2007 DIZZY DEAN DISTRICT TOURNAMENTS Fossil Park often host many of the area's youth tournaments and this requires a great deal of planning and work on our volunteers. Those volunteers have done an outstanding job putting on these tournaments but they are over worked and many of them have children that will be moving on after this year. We have already lost several of our faithful volunteers during the past year as their children join the ranks of Fossil Park Alumni. We are now obligated to remind each manager and coach that they signed an agreement to help this park by volunteering during these events. It will soon be time for each of you to step up to the plate and render your time along side the board of directors. Be prepared to be call upon by whoever this year's host director will be and we look forward to a wonderful 2007 season..

Farm Div (8U competitive and non-competitive leagues): Hosted by Seminole
Minor Div (10 U): Hosted by Pinellas Park
Freshmen Div. (12U): Hosted by Northwest
Sophomore Div. (14U): Hosted by Northwest
Girls' Softball: TBA

District 5 Tournaments Dates: Begin June 8th. Until Completion
T-Ball (6U): Hosted by Pinellas Park
7U, 8U, 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U: Hosted by Fossil Park
Juniors: (15-16): I assume will be determined by the tournament results via the Prospect/and interlocking Leagues Tournament Games at the end of the season.
