Fossil Park Youth Baseball is proud to announce the addition of Girl's Softball to our league offerings. Both
the Boys Baseball and Girls Softball shall operate according to Dizzy Dean Baseball Guidelines except as
outlined in our Rules and Regulations during local league play. On this page you will find links to the
official baseball rules and regulations governing both league organizations as well as Major League
Baseball Rules.
We have recently revised the Fossil Park Youth Baseball Rules and Regulations and these rules shall be
effective for commencing in the 2008 Spring Season. The new Fossil Park Rules and Regulations are available
for download and review on this page.
It is recommended that every manager, coach, and avid fans read up on the new rules. It is also the manager's
responsibility to know the rules as they pertain to the various leagues. Fossil Park Rules shall take
precedence over all other rules during local league play. Any rule not covered in the League Rulebook will
fall under those of Dizzy Dean Baseball, Inc. and elsewhere in the Major League Rulebook.

January 17th, 2008: The Board of Directors has met and ratified the above rules for the 2008 Spring Season. We

2008 Rule Book Corrections
Page 34 Baseball rule book field diagrams. Farm 46', Minor 44'. Sanction paperwork must be in by 4-15-08 for 12 and
under, 6-15-08 for 13 and above.
Softball Rule Book:
Minor league rules: Any base runner leaving the base before the ball crosses home plate is out. {UMPIRES DECISION} The
pitch shall be declared a no pitch. The ball is dead and no runners can advance.
