FOSSIL PARK WORLD SERIES
RECAP
(Moody, Al. Wednesday, 25-July-2007) The Fossil Park 10 & Under
All-Stars have made it to the 2007 Dizzy Dean World Series
Championship match up with Walker County, Alabama.
After dropping
from the winner's bracket in the second round of play to Walker
County, the All-Stars of Fossil Park have fought their way back
winning five consecutive games for a rematch with Walker County in
the World Series Title Game. Fossil Park must be victorious in
two consecutive games in order to take the World Series Crown.
Game time for the world title is this evening at 5:30 pm. A
Fossil Park victory will force a final match between the two teams
at 8pm tonight.

Fossil Park 10U All-Stars Are Runner's
UP IN Dizzy Dean World Series
Wed. 25-July-2007 9:30pm - The Fossil Park 10U All-Stars were
defeated in the World Series title game by Walker County, Al.
We at Fossil Park and the community are extremely proud of these
young athletes and we wish to congratulate them for an outstanding
performance. Congratulations to the 10U All-Stars...Runner's
Up to the 2007 Dizzy Dean 10U World Series.
(Wednesday 01-August-2007): The Fossil Park 9U
All-Stars had their dreams of a national title vanish today as they
lost their first game in the "Elite Eight" Dizzy Dean Championship
World Series Brackets. All of us at Fossil Park would like to
commend these young athletes on a superb tournament series.
This was the first tournament season for a lot of these youngsters
and they will be back for years to come.
The 14U Northwest All-Stars also saw their hopes for a National
Championship come to an end today at the hands of the Belle Chasse
Cardinals. The boys at Northwest finished in 4th. place with
District Five's Pinellas Park coming in at 5th.
Congratulations to all the teams at Fossil Park and to all those
from District Five. You have all represented your leagues well
and should be very proud of yourselves for such accomplishments.
(4:15pm Tuesday 31-July-2007): The Fossil Park 9U
All-Stars have made it to the Elite Eight of the World Series
Championship Series by defeating Gulf Breeze in a rematch in the
losers bracket. The All-Stars won their Championship birth
this afternoon by a score of 8-6 over the 9U Florida State
Champions. The 9 yr. olds will play Northport Red from
Division B Pool Wednesday at 11am as they continue their bid for a
World Series Title.
The Fossil Park 13U All-Stars bid for a World Series Title came to
an end this afternoon as the Panhandle Panthers of Florida
eliminated them from tournament play one game shy of the Final Four.
We would like to congratulate these kids on an outstanding World
Series appearance and to thank all the coaches, parents, and
sponsors. The Northwest All-Stars are current competing with the
Northport All-Stars in Division B and the winner of that game will
face off against Tallahassee for a spot in the Final Four.
Good luck to Northwest. All of us here in District Five are
behind you..
(10:30pm Tuesday 31-July-2007): District Five's
Pinellas Park was eliminated from tournament play this morning in
the 8U Division as they were defeated by the Navarre Raiders of
Florida. The Northwest 13U All-Stars had their hopes for a
World Series bid cut short this afternoon by the Northport
All-Stars. In the 14U Division Pinellas Park met defeat and
their dreams of a World Series Title came to an end. Still
representing District 5 are the Fossil Park 9U All-Stars who
have made it to the "Elite Eight" of the World Series Championship
Series by defeating Gulf Breeze in a rematch in the losers bracket;
and, the Northwest 14U All-Stars. Northwest kept their bid alive by
defeating JPRD West All-Stars in the late afternoon game.
Northwest takes on Belle Chasse Cardinals Wednesday at 10am.
(12:30am Tuesday 31-July-2007): The Fossil Park 13U
All-Stars defeated the Joplin All-Stars in the night-cap game15-1.
The kids from Fossil Park will play a rematch versus the Panhandle
All-Stars Tuesday morning at 11:30am. Fossil must win this
game and the next to qualify in the Championship Series. Both
Fossil Park and the Northwest, St. Pete All-Stars are still in the
hunt for a spot in the Final Four of the 13U Dizzy Dean World
Series.
District Five's 14U Northwest All-Stars and Pinellas Park are both
still alive in their bid for a series title as well as Pinellas
Park's 8U All-Stars. Follow all our teams' progress using the

(South Haven, MS; 30-July-2007)
(11:00pm): Fossil Park's 9U All-Stars were defeated
by the Gardendale Maroon All-Stars this afternoon and will drop down
into the losers brackets. They will face the winner of the
Gulf Breeze/Rockdale Raptors game Tuesday at 1pm. The winner
of the one o'clock game will advance the the Championship Brackets.
The 13U All-Stars also suffered their first defeat versus JPRD West
All-Stars. They are currently playing Joplin All-Stars and
will need to win the next two games to get into the Championship
Brackets.
(South Haven, MS; 29-July-2007)
Fossil Park's 9U All-Stars have defeated the Florida State Champions
Gulf Breeze All-Stars this evening by a score of 20-7 and are now
one of only two undefeated teams in Division A Competition.
The All-Stars will meet up with Gardendale Maroon Monday at 4:30pm.
The winner will advance directly to the overall championship series.
There are four divisions from which a total of eight teams will
advance to the final championship series of tournament play.
(South Haven, MS; 28-July-2007) Fossil Park's 9U and 13U
All-Stars are currently competing in the 2007 Dizzy Dean World
Series for each of their respective age groups. Both teams
have won each of their double headers today and thus far remain in
the winner's bracket. The 9yr. olds defeated St. John Warriors
in the early game and Gardendale Grey in their second
game this
afternoon. Sunday's match-up will be against Gulf Breeze in
the 6:30pm evening game. This will be a rematch of the Florida
State Championship game and should be a great one. You may view the
9U Game Brackets here. The 13yr. olds knocked off Wills
Park Trojans in game one and blanked the Panhandle Panthers in game
2 of their double header. The 13yr. olds get a buy on Sunday
and will play JPRD West Monday at 3:30pm. You may follow their

Other teams from District 5 competing in World Series play include
the 14U Florida State Champs Northwest All-Stars of St. Pete and
Runner's Up Pinellas Park. Northwest remains in the winner's
bracket and will face Lufkin, Texas Monday at 6:30pm. Follow

has completed pool play with a perfect 3-0 record going in to the
